The Property and Highways Service requires a design manager to join a small capital projects delivery team.
The post holder will be required to lead, manage and co-ordinate the design of projects including other design disciplines of predominantly property related projects and programmes with budgets up to £3m each and possibly more in exceptional cases.
Responsible for the management of drawing production across the Service, ensuring that all drawings prepared by either internal or external resources are to a consistent standard in terms of format, referencing, line styles and quality.
Preparation of feasibility studies, designs and production information in liaison with other members of the design/project team to meet clients’ requirements, brief, programme and budget; ensuring a pro-active approach, high quality and cost effective solution is always provided.
To be accountable for the submission of high quality and accurate drawings, technical information and specifications for tender and construction use.
