The Role
Governor Services within the Education Improvement and Partnerships Service are seeking to recruit casual Governing Body Clerks to support the work of the Governing Body Clerking Service.
As a casual Clerk you will be required to attend ad hoc Governing Body meetings on a volunteer basis to take notes and produce Minutes of the meeting to cover for absences.
Remuneration will be made on a sessional basis at a rate of £13.84 per hour. Most Governing Body meetings are held in the evenings. The role will involve attendance at meetings and subsequent production of minutes.
About You
Ideally we are seeking candidates who have prior experience in this role however we may also consider applicants who have experience of minute taking and meeting procedures or comparable written tasks who would be available to be contacted as required. You must hold a GCSE Grade C or above in English and maths and be confident and articulate and capable of producing high quality written work and capable of meeting deadlines. You must be able to assimilate information quickly and be able to represent the clerking service in a professional manner. Experience as a school governor is desirable but not essential.
