SO2 (£44,587 - £50,158) inclusive of 20% enhancement for out of hours working and 8% Market Supplement
This post is also eligible for an essential car allowance and payment of Social Work England fees, training provided supporting AMHP reapproval.

Shift patterns currently are Monday to Friday 4pm to midnight, 22:30 to 8.30am, weekends 8.30 am to 20:30 then 20:30 to 08:30 as well as statutory bank holidays.
There is possible scope for daytime AMHP if service requires.

Your Role
We are looking for an Approved Mental Health Professional to join a small but busy dedicated out of hours AMHP service based within the Liaison Mental Health Team at Stepping Hill Hospital. The post holder will respond to requests for Mental Health Act assessments out of hours in Stockport as part of SMBC’s statutory responsibility under Section 13 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
The Out of Hours AMHP team responds to requests from the community as well as hospital and from the place of safety suite (136) which is part of the Mental Health Unit in Stepping Hill. This is a challenging, focused, and exciting role for the right candidate who will get the opportunity to work alongside mental health practitioners in a mental health liaison setting.
About You
The post holder should be able to work under minimal supervision and be confident and competent in working autonomously when mainstream services are closed, referring to the on-call management system and other support structures where necessary
