The Governors at St. Mary’s RC Primary School are looking for an excellent Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their hardworking and dedicated staff team. The position would be specifically working 1-1 with one of our female students in KS2 with an EHCP and a disability requiring personal care, but may also cover working with groups of children in and out of the classroom.

The right candidate will also have the opportunity to work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and deliver a bespoke curriculum to best meet this child’s need.

We would like to fill this position as soon as possible to complete a transition period

The successful candidate will have:

- The ability to inspire and engage with children

-Experience of working with children with additional needs.

-Good Numeracy and Literacy skills, at least a level 2 NVQ or GCSE level A*-C (English and Maths)

-The ability to form good relationships with children and staff

-The ability to follow direction but also to have initiative and take the lead

-The ability to be flexible and well organised
