Post Title: Head of Building Safety

Team: Housing Service

Are you ready to take the lead in elevating service delivery and driving innovation? We're seeking a Head of Building Safety to join our Housing Services Directorate and shape the future of our services. 

As the Head of Building Safety, you'll be the go-to expert, advising key stakeholders on compliance and our sustainability agenda across our portfolio. You'll lead a dedicated team, including specialists and work closely with our Health & Safety colleagues, and foster their development in a supportive environment that values personal growth. 

To excel in this role, you'll need management experience in domestic property compliance or maintenance, along with the ability to build trust and partnerships with stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal role in managing compliance activities to the highest standards, drawing on your deep understanding of our sector and regulatory framework.  

We’re looking for someone: 

 
  • Passionate about delivering great services and making a difference  
  • With a wealth of experience from senior roles in compliance and maintenance across social housing or the private sector 
  • With specialist knowledge across a range of compliance areas including gas, electric, water hygiene, fire risk assessments and more 
  • With a knack for managing servicing and maintenance programmes, ensuring assets are well-maintained and operate at peak efficiency 
  • With leadership, team management and budget management experience
