Bolton Road, Bury BL8 2AQ.

Your role:

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the Integrated Community Equipment Service which provides an effective, efficient equipment loan service to individuals of all ages, including children, assisting them to develop and to maintain their health and independence. 

The Service:

The Integrated Community Equipment Stores provides equipment enabling the discharge of patients from hospital.  This can be customer facing, managing emails and diaries, handling phone calls and processing personal information on specialised system. Experience of financial processes such as processing orders and payments is required.

About you:

As manager of ICES, the successful candidate will be responsible for the for ensuring the smooth delivery of the day-to-day management of the service encompassing the Social Care and Health provision, external stakeholders, and the voluntary sector, within agreed budgets and in accordance with the policies, procedures and practices of the Council.

The individual will have responsibility for the key decision-making in relation to resource allocation, operational matters and adhering to the Performance Management framework within the Directorate. They will also work in collaboration to support commissioners in the strategic development of the Community Equipment Service.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to work in partnership with the NHS, Health & Social Care OT’s, Hospitals Intermediate Care tier and develop Equipment provision that positively impact health and social care professionals, reduces demand for traditional services and contributes to public sector reform. This will involve working with a range of Equipment providers and procuring equipment and supplies ensuring best value.

A full clean driving license is also required for the post.
