Sharples School Multi-Academy Trust is an over-subscribed mixed comprehensive with 1,200 pupils on roll, situated in the North of Bolton in pleasant surroundings. The school provides stimulating and innovative opportunities for learning, transforming the aspirations and educational outcomes for all students and the local community.  Sharples was judged ‘Good’ at its last inspection in 2019, with areas of outstanding practice. 

The Governing Board are seeking to appoint an outstanding, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for ensuring that the healthcare needs of individual pupils are fully met, in accordance with their written Health Care plans, including the preparation of PEEPs and pupil risk Assessments.  The role will also be the lead for First Aid/first responder across the school and be responsible for the storage and administration of medicines.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with and/or caring for children aged 11-16 and some experience of working with children with special educational needs and/or complex medical needs.  Training in literacy/numeracy and special education needs strategies is desirable.
