The governors of Bolton Parish Church C of E Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, resilient, dedicated and caring individual to work with a KS2 child with social and emotional needs, as a special needs assistant. You will be supporting them to participate in planned learning activities and to support their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.
The ideal candidate for the role will be TA Level 2 qualified or equivalent with experience of supporting pupils who have cognition and learning difficulties and associated speech, language and communication needs or must be able and willing to engage in further training in this area.
The post holder must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Having the ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside of the classroom will be essential to being successful in this role.

• has recent experience of working within a school environment

• is an outstanding practitioner with very high expectations of what can be achieved
• is able to work as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team
• is able to form successful relationships with parents
• supports individuals to complete set tasks within the classroom
• promotes learning within the school environment and a flexible approach to work
• can lead small groups under direction of the teacher
• implements Behaviour strategies
• can work in partnership with teachers and other professionals to provide a positive environment for learning
• candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure.
