GRADE D + SNA ALLOWANCE

£18,616-£20,148 PER ANNUM (INCLUSIVE OF ALLOWANCE)

32.50 HOURS PER WEEK

PERMANENT

The Governors at St Mary’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Special Needs Assistant. We are looking for someone who is a dedicated and highly motivated person, able to provide high quality support to children with high needs and challenging behaviours.

The candidate needs to:-

·    Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children of primary school age or NVQ 2 or equivalent in teaching assistance

·    Have experience of working with children with additional needs, especial Autistic Spectrum Disorder

·    Have high expectations for all children

·    Be able to enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning

·    Be able to work independently to deliver, monitor and evaluate the success of interventions

·    Work as part of an effective team

·    Have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them consistently and with respect

·    Have excellent communication skills and be committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff

·    Carry out administrative tasks to a high standard

·    Be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life

Completed application forms should be returned to Emma Pilling (Deputy Head teacher) by Friday 31st May at 4.00pm, 2024.  Shortlisting will take place on Monday 3rd June 2024.  The interview process will be in two parts.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to come into school to work with a group of children.  If successful during the first part of the interview process, candidates will invited to complete a basic skills test and interview.  Observations and interviews will be held during week beginning Monday 3rd June 2024.
