GRADE D + SNA ALLOWANCE

£18,616-£20,148 PER ANNUM (INCLUSIVE OF ALLOWANCE)

32.50 HOURS PER WEEK

The Governors at St Mary’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Special Needs Assistant. We are looking for someone who is a dedicated and highly motivated person, able to provide high quality support to children with high needs and challenging behaviours.

The candidate needs to:-

·    Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children of primary school age or NVQ 2 or equivalent in teaching assistance

·    Have experience of working with children with additional needs, especial Autistic Spectrum Disorder

·    Have high expectations for all children

·    Be able to enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning

·    Be able to work independently to deliver, monitor and evaluate the success of interventions

·    Work as part of an effective team

·    Have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them consistently and with respect

·    Have excellent communication skills and be committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff

·    Carry out administrative tasks to a high standard

·    Be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life

Completed application forms should be returned to Emma Pilling (Deputy Head teacher) by Friday 31^st May at 4.00pm, 2024.  Shortlisting will take place on Monday 3^rd June 2024.  The interview process will be in two parts.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to come into school to work with a group of children.  If successful during the first part of the interview process, candidates will invited to complete a basic skills test and interview.  Observations and interviews will be held during week beginning Monday 3^rd June 2024.
