Salary: Grade H. SCP 29 - £18,668 to SCP 34 - £20,709 (actual salary) with a professional bar at SCP 31 £19,593**
 
Hours: 18 hours per week
 
Base Location: Jubilee Gardens, Gardenfold Way, Droylsden, M43 7XU

The Role

 

A unique opportunity has arisen to join a small team who are committed and passionate about improving the lives of children/young people with disabilities, complex health needs or chronic illness.
 
Working in the community you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children/young people and recommending appropriate interventions, including specialist equipment and major adaptations and demonstrating to families and carers alternative ways of carrying out daily living tasks, to promote and maintain children/young people’s independence.
 
You will be part of a supportive team that includes Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Intervention Workers, Behavior Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Complex Needs Nurses, Physiotherapists, Health Occupational Therapists and Housing Services.
 
About you
 
We are looking for candidates with good working knowledge of relevant legislation, sound assessment and problem solving ability, as well as good computer skills.
 
You will work independently, be a good team player and have proven organisational skills. 
 
Experience of working with children and assessing for equipment and major adaptations is essential.
