Lead with Heart: Residential Registered Manager Needed at Salford City Council’s Expanding Children’s Residential Service

Are you a beacon of leadership in children's residential care? Are you ready to pioneer and nurture the growth of our children's homes?
At an exciting time of growth and development, Salford City Council’s Children’s Residential Service is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Residential Registered Manager. With plans to open and manage not just one, but potentially two homes, we offer an exceptional opportunity for a skilled leader to significantly impact our local community and the lives of children within Salford.
Your Mission:
You will take the helm at our new children’s home, steering us through the opening stages and beyond, into the thriving day-to-day life of a nurturing residential setting. With an eye towards the future, you'll also prepare to potentially expand your influence by opening and dual registering a second home. Your strategic vision and hands-on management will be critical in:
Building and Leading: Establish and manage our children’s home(s), setting a standard of excellence and warmth.
Therapeutic Approaches: Implement and advocate for therapeutic childcare practices that foster healing and growth.
Regulatory Excellence: Maintain compliance with all regulations, striving for 'Good' and 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and inspire a dedicated team committed to transforming lives.

Who We Need:
A visionary with a big heart and even bigger capabilities, who brings extensive managerial experience in children’s homes with a track record of achieving ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings. You must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare and have a strong background in therapeutic approaches to childcare, with the ability to embed these practices in the home’s culture. Experience in managing or the desire to manage dual registrations is highly desirable.

This isn’t just a managerial role; it’s an opportunity to be at the heart of changing young lives for the better. Let’s build homes filled with hope and healing. Join us in leading the way in children’s residential care!
