Grade: 5A, £51,515 - £53,213 per annum
Working Hours: 36 hours 
Contract Type: Fixed Term for two years with a view to make permanent once further funding is confirmed

Location: Salford Civic Centre/Hybrid

We currently have a number of exciting roles within our Resources and Transformation directorate at Salford City Council, playing a key role in shaping the future of the council and how we deliver services to our residents. The roles will sit within the Organisation Development team to enable us to continue to build on our success and bring new experience, knowledge, and ideas into the team.  

You will be a role model of our values and build collaborative and effective working relationships to make positive change happen. Putting our employees and residents at the heart of what you do, you will be passionate about helping others at all levels of the organisation, maintaining your own level of personal and professional development in order to fully support our workforce.

You will have relevant experience in:

  • Organisational development practices and campaigns
  • Organisation and service level transformation
  • Behaviour change
  • Employee engagement and events

About the Role

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Strategic OD Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of key strategic projects and transformation required to develop the organisation and its people.  Approaching the role with a positive mindset you will:

  • Provide people centred professional service to clients on all aspects of organisation development, culture change and transformation, and workforce engagement
  • Embed a positive and enabling culture aligned with the Council’s priorities and values to drive a high performing organisation
  • Lead complex strategic projects for the organisation's transformation programme, Innovate Salford
  • Ensure people are at the heart of change, and that our workforce, residents, and partners are engaged and have a voice in design and solutions
  • Be a role model demonstrating our values and leadership behaviours in all that you do.
