An exciting opportunity has arisen for a contract management or commissioning professional to work as part of a progressive team within Rochdale Council to support the development, implementation, monitoring and review of our commissioned domestic abuse services.

The post holder will operate across the Public Health and Communities Directorate and work closely various key stakeholders and partners of the Rochdale Domestic Abuse Partnership. You will work from our award winning ‘Number One Riverside’ council building as part of our flexible working approach.

This role will involve co-ordinating contract and performance management processes as well as taking on a quality assurance role with providers to ensure the effective delivery of outcomes and value for money.

The role also offers opportunities for personal/professional development and a chance for someone to bring their own skills, knowledge and experiences to enhance an already high performing team.

Commissioning / contract monitoring experience is essential for this role. A good understanding of domestic abuse and the new statutory domestic abuse duties on local authorities would be advantageous. The post holder will also have a track record of working effectively with providers and driving improved performance.

Approval for secondment should be obtained from your Service Director (or nominated representative) before applying for this post.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Erica Nixon, Public Health Commissioning and Improvement Manager, 01706 927059, erica.nixon2@rochdale.gov.uk
