Are you dedicated to inclusion and supporting young people with SEND to be fully prepared for adult life? We are looking for dedicated and inspirational teachers to come and join our amazing, warm and supportive team.

Redwood is a large special school for pupils with a wide range of complex SEND from 11-19. This is an exciting time for Redwood; demand for places is high and we have a new and experienced headteacher in post. At Redwood, every person matters, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our incredible and diverse children and young people.

The successful candidate will:

· Be committed to inclusion and have a passion for SEND

· Must be willing to work across all cohorts of the school as required based on the needs of the organisation

· Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to inspire young people with their learning and development

· Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation through imaginative and adapted lessons which meet individual student needs

· Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex communication, behavioural and medical needs

· Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community

· Be effective team players with proven ability to coordinate and direct the work of classroom support staff

We are also looking for a person who has:

· A willingness or experience of teaching students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

· Proven ability or aspiring to be an outstanding teacher with a passion to improve outcomes for all students

· The knowledge and understanding of how to use a range of technologies across the curriculum

· The ability to contribute fully to the values, aims and life of the school

The successful candidate will be required to commence work from September 2024 or as close to this date as possible.
